Christopher Corkern is the president of May River Financial Group, LLC (previously The Corkern Group) and a Financial Planner with Prudential. Chris has been serving the Bluffton and Charleston, South Carolina communities Since August 1998. His team includes five financial advisors, seven marketing assistants, who specialize in financial planning, investments, and insurance.

In addition to his financial planning practice, he started a property and Casualty company in 1999 which is one of the largest Liberty Mutual practices in the country. Chris has qualified for his 21 st year for Prudential President Conferences, 25th year as a Top of the Table, and has earned Lifetime status for the Million Dollar Round Table.

Chis was born and raised in the Hilton Head area and currently lives in Bluffton with his wife of 30+ years, Adelaide. They have two children, Claire and Clay. He is active in our community, serves and has served on numerous boards and supports several local charitable organizations. He is a graduate of Clemson University (1988) and completed the Retirement Strategy Program at Wharton School of Business (2008).
